DOUBLE SNIPERS IN THE MOUNTAINS

Nearly Threatened, as a specie, the Double Sniper plays his arena in the Swedish mountains. The team from Lund University mark and log the birds to find out more about their behaviors. They made the discovery that they fly in from Nigeria, at recordhights as high as 8700 metres. That’s an altitude higher than any other bird measured. Often without any stop. Without drinking or eating the trip takes 3,5 days. And then they play.
